Our Services
Initial consultation
The first step is an initial consultation. We need to know a little bit about your child.
What do they love to do?
What do they dislike?
What do their days look like (home, school, etc.)?
What environments are challenging for them?
Where do you struggle most as a family?
We also want to know why you are coming to us and what your objectives are. After that meeting, we will propose a plan for moving forward. Often, the next step is to develop a support plan, however we will customize our services to meet your needs.

Develop a Support Plan
A support plan is a road map for building the skills your child needs. It is unique and created to fit your child and your family.
1 Determine where they are now
A support plan takes all available input from parents, educators, medical professionals and other specialists to develop a initial list of skills that need development/support. Your child may require certain professional evaluations (speech, occupational therapy, neuro-psychology, behavioral) to help us identify where the true skill deficits are. That information is valuable and can save you a lot of time in the long run. If evaluations are needed we will help you identify specialists, prepare for the appointment and interpret the results.
2 Develop the Plan
Once we have a good understanding of the skills your child needs to build, we will develop a plan for addressing them. Who are the appropriate specialists? Not all specialists are the same. Some have different levels of expertise in different areas. Working with a specialist who is not trained in building the specific skills your child needs can be a waste of time and a drain on your resources. We will help you identify a team and get the process started (paperwork, securing appointments, and so on).
3 collaborate with the school
We will collaborate with your child’s school to make sure child’s needs are being supported. We can bring tools recommended by specialists into the classroom to support your child and the teacher. We will also help you understand the school’s strengths and weaknesses with respect to supporting your child. Not all schools are a good fit for all children. If your child’s school isn’t working, we will help you identify a school or an environment where your child can be successful.
4 Assess Progress
Once the Support Plan is in place, we will periodically assess your child’s progress. Is the current plan working? Does it need more time? Is it time to move on to the next set of skills? Or, is it time to be finished?

Support Interactions with Specialists and Medical Professionals
In the best case scenario, evaluations are useful tools for determining your child’s strengths and skill deficits. With that information in hand, we can make a better plan to help him or her. The challenge is to figure out what is necessary and how to get the most out of it. We will help you prioritize and then support you through the process (as needed), including:
- Determine which evaluations are likely to be the most valuable
- Recommend a doctor or specialist and help you secure an appointment
- Help prepare documents, questionnaires, and other data needed for appointment
- Develop a list of questions for you to discuss with your child’s doctor or specialist
- Review reports and help you to interpret them
- Develop follow up questions for the doctor or specialist
- Follow up directly with the doctor or specialist as needed
Connecting You to Valuable Resources
financial resources
Do you need financial support to offset the cost of therapies or school programs? We know what is available and we can walk you through the application process. We can work with your insurance company to understand exactly what is covered and how to access that coverage. We can help you evaluate new insurance plans.
community resources
Our mission is to stay connected to the best practitioners and resources in our area so that when you need support we know who specializes in what you are looking for and can get you in to see them quickly.
Triage Challenges for Parents, Teach Skills, Educate
We will help you identify specific challenges facing your child in different environments (home, school, on sports teams, etc.) and provide referrals to skilled practitioners that can help find quick solutions, tools and work arounds. Sometimes very simple changes in an environment can make it much easier for a child to succeed. Is the morning routine more of a nightmare? Is recess a challenge? We want to help calm the hot spots so that you can focus on the bigger picture.
